An honorable looing person with respectable character, who told his age was 76 years and his education as PhD, was continuously crying and narrating his story full of sorrow. He told that “ I have been married for 54 years. After the marriage my wife started to suffer from unconsciousness. She would frequently remain unconscious day and night. 2-3 people from the family would look after her. Many years passed like this. We sought treatment from many places, but the cure was always temporary. During this ailment, we were blessed with a son who expired after three weeks of his birth although he physically seemed to be healthy. Then when our daughter was born, she suffered with very heavy bleeding so as her clothes would soak with blood. We tried all types of treatment which anybody would tell us. Long time back, we met a pious old gentleman. We sought his treatment which proved a bit effective. Our village where my mother used to live, a woman started visiting her and became her friend. She used to be accompanied by another lady who was a Jinn. She started helping us. This lady Jinn named Amnah, helped us in all sorts of problems, worries and various difficulties of life. While going back to America from Pakistan, we had three daughters with us. After a period of 18 or 19 years upon reaching USA, a Jinn who introduced himself as Yasin appeared and started talking with us. There were already unrest, problems, worries and difficulties at home and Yasin would also continuously bother us. Amnah would always help us but at times even she was unable to provide any aid. Many a times attempts were made to kill us. My wife became non-concerned with me. It has been 20 years that she has come to my room or did anything for me. She even torment me by not serving me with food. When I fall sick, only my friends help me. Often I cook my own food or buy it from outside. I myself wash my clothes. So much so that if I unconsciously place a spoon somewhere, no one will pick it up. I have to pick it up myself, no matter many days have passed. I got one of our daughters married. My wife did not give me any support. Two sons were also born in USA. When I married the elder son, the daughter did not support. Day and night she is carrying out propaganda against me. Upbringing of my children is pathetic. They convert all my good deeds into evil. I am deeply worried. I am old aged, have wealth, belongings, children… everything. But there is no peace in heart and life. I am deprived of peace and solace.”
This man possessed high qualification of PhD, spent a very good early life but his wife had made his life miserable. From the very first day, the wife had attacks of unconsciousness.
He then asked me: “ What is the solution of all this? ” I enquired him: “ What is the cause of this turmoil?” He replied that: “ Whenever I see the environment of America and the West, I see similar situation in every third home. Then I feel that I am on the wrong path and they are on the right one.” I was surprised and asked him: “How come?” He said: “Actually, from the beginning my wife was very modern. She used to keep her hair open, did not care about her exposure, wore deep necked and short clothes and had no care/concept of purity and dirtiness. She would always remain occupied with modern thoughts! Although I am also not a very religious person, but at least I follow Allah and his Holy Prophet ﷺ to some extent. I have learnt and practiced a lot for religion and Aakhira (Doomsday). I consider that my wife suffered from the curse of atheism and she has gone into this atheistic ‘stress’ for being overwhelmed by it, just like the entire Europe. ” He then said to me: “You deliver Dars (lectures). Please convey my message to your listeners that I am still in America and so is my entire family. My children and every member of the family are highly educated but my house is not a home but mockery. I have lost peace, pleasure and solace of life and life’s happiness, peace and calmness have never come near me. I am very disturbed and highly dissatisfied. If you can convey my message, please do tell the people that for God’s sake, learn a lesson from my life. Give some touch of Almighty, his Holy Prophet ﷺ and spirituality in your life. Otherwise your life will carry on with dejection, worries and quarrelling/fighting in hopelessness.”
